Calcom was incorporated in 1976 by a young engineer duo. In a span of a few years, Calcom grew exponentially to become the largest Television manufacturer in India. Calcom forayed into the Electronics Industry by manufacturing Calculators. Calcom's ability to successfully design and mass produce Televisions resulted in the company exporting its products around the world and ultimately becoming a public limited company in the year 1990.
Calcom is an Original Designer and Manufacturer (ODM) and currently manufactures a range of electronic products such as Luminaires, Electronic Ballasts, CTV Chassis, Televisions (SKD) and Plastic Moulded Components.
Calcom also developed a range of consumer durables besides televisions, Hand Mixers, Vaccum Cleaners, Emergency Lanterns and Power Inverters for several multi national companies. However today Calcom is focused into manufacturing Lighting Electronics and Television Chassis. Calcom has always been a believer in innovations and as a result set-up the R&D division in 1995 which is recognised by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. Of India.
